Psyfix is a Belgian rock and metal band formed in Mechelen and founded by Chiel Tondeleir in 2025 after a series of personal challenges. The bandname originates from an earlier solo project by Tondeleir in 2013, when he created the instrumental songs ‘Rewind’, ‘Emotions’, ‘Down under’ en ‘Hidden within’ with FL Studios.
In 2025 Tondeleir was joined by Rutger Peuteman (drummer), Bart Box (bass guitarist) Yannick Reynders (original scream vocalist & guitarist), and Sofie Jacobs (lead vocalist). Later on guitarists Quentin Plaetevoet and Ivo Wullaert joined the group, and Arne Vandoorne replacing Yannick Reynders as new scream vocalist completed their lineup.
The belgian band is recognized as a pioneer of Hybrid Metal, combining various metal genres with melodic harmonies and powerful guitar lines. Their first demo’s for the album Unchained, were released in January 2025 and quickly gained popularity, amassing over 20,000 subscribers on YouTube and receiving radio airplay in countries like Brazil, Israel, and Portugal. However, as the band felt the music wasn’t perfect yet, these demo’s were quickly taken offline, and being reworked. On 20 march 2026 the band released their first official single with Breaking The Chains, hinting on the full official album release of Unchained in the upcoming months.
Psyfix is an emerging band that has quickly made a name for itself in the rock and metal scene, showcasing a blend of styles and a strong online presence. Their journey reflects a commitment to their craft and a passion for music that resonates with fans. This was later followed by a third place in the Rock ’n Blues Rally 2025 in december.
