Meet The Band: Dalver

Rising from the shadows of the city of Lokeren, Dalver is a band that is as captivating as it is unpredictable. What began as a musical quest between friends, grew into a powerful sonic entity in which intensity and atmosphere constantly challenge one another.

The band balances on the cutting edge of post-metal, stoner and doom and manages to translate those influences into a sound that is both heavy and layered. With great clean vocals and screams, combined with awesome riffs, they grab your attention through a powerful performance.

Dalver was founded in 2019 and spent its first few years purposefully working on establishing its own identity. This resulted in their first release in 2022 with singles such as Reason For The I.

Reaching the Alcatraz Metal Bash finals at Hell Diest is a major milestone for Dalver, but it’s no coincidence. The band has been building towards this moment with relentless dedication and a sound that truely stands out. They deserve every part of the attention they are now receiving. This is just the beginning of their musical journey as they belong on the bigger stages.

While the band continued growing, releasing a new single As Fires Die in 2023, they also changed their roster. With Marijn Aper (guitar & vocals), Steffen Verhofsté (bass) and Lennert De Mey (drums), Dalver caught the attention of Obsidian Pulse Records in september 2025. A record label from Lochristi, not far from Dalver’s hometown.

And that was only the beginning of what we expect to become a leading collaboration in the industry. Dalver is not just a small band from East Flanders anymore, they have grown into a powerhouse ready to rock. And they’re proving just that with their participation in the Alcatraz Metal Bash, where they got selected for the preliminary rounds and convinced the jury in Kid’s Rythm ’n Blues Kaffee to advance to the finals for the contest of one of Belgian’s finest festivals. This final will be held on May 1st in Hell Diest. Don’t miss out!
